Catskill, NY, May 21, 2026 — CREATE Council on the Arts is pleased to announce an extensive lineup of exhibitions, public programs, and community events taking place throughout June 2026. These programs are curated to highlight local artists, foster creative exchange, and encourage the public to engage with the arts in a variety of dynamic settings.

CREATE EVENTS
CREATE Member Show Opening Reception

CREATE Grantee Awards Ceremony
Wednesday, June 10, 6PM · Bridge Street Theatre, 44 West Bridge Street, Catskill, NY
CREATE Council on the Arts invites the public to celebrate the recipients of the 2026 Statewide Community Regrant (SCR) Program awards at a special ceremony at Bridge Street Theatre. Join CREATE in honoring this year’s awardees and hearing about the exciting arts projects and community programs taking place across Columbia, Greene, and Schoharie Counties in 2026.

These awards are made possible with funds from the SCR Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by CREATE Council on the Arts. Off The Page
Sunday, June 14, 2PM · Kinderhook Knitting Mill (2nd Floor), 8 Hudson St, Kinderhook, NY
Off The Page offers an opportunity for CREATE members to perform and share their work, expanding the exhibition through the inclusion of literary readings. Participating writers are encouraged to reflect on the exhibition theme and use it as a starting point for expression through poetry, prose, spoken word, and other short literary performances in front of a live audience. Free and open to the public.

Demo Day
Saturday, June 27, 12–3PM · Kinderhook Knitting Mill (2nd Floor), 8 Hudson St, Kinderhook, NY
Demo Day presents live demonstrations of a handful of artists’ processes and techniques. With multiple rotating stations, visitors can move between tables, observe different approaches, and gain insight into the creative process. Free and open to the public.

Creative Crit
Monday, June 29, 6–7:30PM · Cone Zero, 111 Water St, Catskill, NY
A series of interactive gatherings where creatives can workshop ideas and get direct feedback or hands-on help on their project, grant, or concept development.
Suggested donation: $5. Open to the public.

Soundshare (+ Potluck)
Tuesday, June 30, 6–8PM · Wave Farm / WGXC Catskill Studio, 393 Main St, Catskill, NY
Soundshare is a space for audio/sound artists to gather, share, and collaborate. Participants are invited to the WGXC Catskill Studio to share pre-recorded or live works in a welcoming and communal space. All are welcome to come listen and discuss, though sharing is limited to four participants. Come meet fellow creatives, musicians, and performers! Free and open to the public.

CREATE Council On The Arts is a tax exempt, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide community support by expanding access to creative, cultural resources and economic opportunities in the region. CREATE serves as the Statewide Community Regrant arts organization for Greene, Columbia, and Schoharie Counties.
