SUMMARY:Bronck Museum’s Annual Heritage Craft Fair
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the fall season in the Hudson Valley at the Bronck Museum's Heritage Craft Fair on Sunday\, October 5\, from 12PM to 4PM. Crafters will be offering all kinds of traditional handmade goods including a variety of hand knitted\, hand sewn\, and quilted goods\, hand spun knitting wool\, candles\, handmade teddy bears\, pottery and much more. Buy local maple syrup\, honey products\, and homemade jams. Stop under the oak trees on the south lawn to chat with Pieter Bronck himself and try the potent drink he concocted over three hundred years ago. Stroll along the old King's Road to visit the farm's unusual thirteen-sided hay barn and exhibits in the Bronck Barracks. Then rest awhile and enjoy American bluegrass and country music performed by Running the River on the front porch of the Vedder Research Library by the Scarpa's Food Truck. Visit the Meadow Ridge Heritage barn on the property where horse-drawn wagon rides by Larch Hill Farm will depart and local musician Luke Barnhart will perform. Inside the barn there will be several kid's activities including face painting\, candy raffle\, pumpkin painting and other kid's crafts. Admission to this event is free\, and it takes place in fair or foul weather. The Bronck Museum is located at 90 County Route 42\, Coxsackie\, NY. For additional information contact the Bronck Museum at (518) 731-6490 or visit gchistory.org. This event is made possible with funds from the Greene County Legislature through CREATE Council on the Arts.
